Fans In Tears As Wizkid Makes Very Shocking Declaration
It seems all is not well with our Grammy Award nominee, Wizkid, because the Starboy Record CEO, has just announced the cancellation of all concerts in December, and January, on health grounds.
The “Ojuelegba” hitmaker, took to his social media last night, to make the shocking revelation to his Nigerian and Ugandan fans, whom were anxiously waiting to see him on stage at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
He explained, that the fatigue of touring for two straight years has taken a toll on him, thus he has been advised by Doctors to take a much-needed break, as he promised to be back “stronger and better”.
He wrote: “#TeamWizkid, I’ve been on the road for 2 years, touring and doing what I love without a break, and now it’s all catching up on me,” Wizkid, who just got nominated for a 2017 Grammy Award, wrote on social media.

“I hate this, but my Doctors have advised me to cancel the rest of my dates for this year, and January 2017.
“Apologies to all my fans, especially in Nigeria and Uganda, and the rest of the world. I promise to be back stronger, and better, to see you guys.
“Promise you new music before the end of the year. You all have an amazing Christmas and New Year celebrations.
“I’ll be here recovering, and getting my energy up to see you all next year. Love you all and God bless,” the singer said.
The 26-year-old, who has been on the road for most of the year, had scheduled a homecoming concert at the Eko Convention Centre, on December 30, and another show at the New Afrika Shrine, on January 1.

His much anticipated ‘Wizkid Live in Kampala’ concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval, in Kampala, did not take place on Saturday, December 3, as earlier planned, after the ‘Jaiye Jaiye’ singer failed to fly out of the United States, because of “unavoidable circumstances”.
Wizkid, has been nominated in the Album of the Year category of the 2017 Grammy Awards, as guest artiste and producer on Drake’s 2016 album, views.
The Nigerian pop superstar, is currently enjoying a great year in his career. Wizkid struck gold at this year’s MTV EMAs, earning one trophy at the global music spectacular show. The Nigerian star was honoured with the trophy for Worldwide Act.
Prior to this, Wizkid had earlier been announced as the winner of the Best African Act at the 2016 Music of Black Origin, MOBO Awards ceremony, which took place in Glasgow, Scotland.
Also, at the 2016 AFRIMA awards, which held at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels & Suites, the singer was honoured as the Best Artiste on the continent.
He came out victorious in a category that had Black Coffee, Diamond Platnumz, Eddy Kenzo, Hatim Ammor, Navio, Sarkodie, Sidikiba Diabate, Tekno, Tiwa Savage, and Zahara.
